Meditation: These Temple Doors

Temple Doors

The stone floor beneath me is hard and cool. The sun disappeared long ago. My quietude has turned to isolation, yet I don’t want to return to the crowded streets. I seek sanctuary, even if I must sit here and wait outside the temple doors.

The doors of merciful refuge are within me, opening to the gentle light of my soul. Holiness hasn’t abandoned me. Love lives here.
