The Day Spa Expo in Las Vegas is my favorite spa business conference. Why? Because the educational track is really geared towards business management topics to help spas succeed. Instead of being mostly product-company driven, the Day Spa Association has taken great care to put together a cutting edge business forum with some of the industry’s leading consultants that you know and love, and also some progressive new voices. Both the DSE and DSA partnered on the 1st show in 2006, and the February 2007 show is shaping up to be even better. Come join us!
I’ll be doing the following presentations:
Wednesday Feb 21 at 2:00 pm Douglas Preston & Jaya Schillinger:
The Overwhelmed Spa Manager: How To Reduce Your Workload, Stress and Worry
Friday Feb 23 at 2:00 pm Jaya Schillinger.
The Empowered Manager: Developing Leadership Skills
The tradeshow floor will also have lots of goodies for you shoppers! Of course, Las Vegas has tons of great shopping now, too. So have a little fun while you’re there.
Programs were just mailed this week, so look for it in the mail.
One more note on accomodations: Mandalay Bay is pretty far from the rest of The Strip, so you would be smart to stay there. But did you know there are 2 hotels at Mandalay Bay? There’s the regular casino one, which is nice, but then there is THE Hotel at Mandalay, which is truly splendid. It’s quieter, more luxurious, and you don’t have to walk through the casino to get to the conference center. If your environment is important to you, like it is to me, spend the extra bucks. It’s totally worth it.
